Wow. It's already May 15th... how time flies... whether you're having fun or not. XP

Well, I'm sixteen years old now. I don't feel any different, but then again, I didn't feel any different when it turned five, eleven and twelve. Maybe it's a karmaic thingy. Anywhoo, not much to report on the B-day, since there wasn't really one... (no party, no lavish gifts... just a simple movie and cake. And food... mmmm... the foood.... *salivates thinking of the wonderfully cooked crab...*)

Oh, speaking of B-days, I must wish MC a belated B-day!!! Sorry MC, been busy and haven't had much time to update. Too much manga, y'know?

On to the less wonderful news. Friday the thirteenth really stinks. Even if it's ten days after your b-day.

Lessee... one chem test, one pop quiz in English, one Math test... one Spanish oral... and let us not forget the Giant Website project for English due on the same day. XD... hectic... made reading manga a pain cause then I had to work until two or so in the morning simply to keep up. Been part of the living dead for the past week or so...

XD. Oh well...

~Deathwyrm signing off

Cynical, depressed and confused? It's possible.

Ah, today's just one of those days that blows your mind away. Discoveries, self-analyzation and a look at the world in general... Heh, but like usual, a look at the world is remarkably depressing.

Let's start by the fun stuff. I have discovered, much to my regret, that I'm a power-hungry freak. That or I'm plain weird. Personally, I suspect myself being both. For example, today, since I didn't have my house keys handy on me (little spring break ^_^, so I got to stay at home) I exited the house via the garage. Nothing spectacular there- from a normal person's point of view. The key word here, is 'normal.' You don't know how difficult it was to resist the temptation to play with the garage opener all day.

Open... close... open... close... open... close... all at the touch of a button.

Some might wonder what this has anything to do with being a power-hungry freak, but if you can't make the connection, nothing on my part will convince you that I *am* a power hungry freak. Not until I conquer the world anyway.

Something that I can't classify as either good or bad comes up next. Crushes- innocent little things, come up all the time. For a good -has it already been four years?- I've been immune to this piece of insanity. If that's a good sign is neither here nor now. (actually, I'm a tad worried. The possibility of me being single and virgin for the rest of my doggone life has crossed my mind several times, but as I said- that's something to be explored at a later date.) Some of you who know me personally might be aware that I work as a volunteer at a program called 'special olympics.' We help mentally handicapped kids learn how to swim etc. etc.

Yeah, you guessed it. One of the kids has admitted to a crush on me. How I handle this is beyond my scope of understanding- though admittedly she's probably the smartest 'special needs person' I've ever met- probably smarter than a bunch of kids I know at school. But not my type. She what... eleven? Twelve?

Puzzles within puzzles within puzzles. (sigh) I can't even handle 'normal' people- let alone this. And my inherent inability to ask for help is gonna hurt me on this one. Moreso because I don't want to hurt *her.* I'll think of something... or I'll become do yet another major screw-up. Gah- sometimes I wish I didn't care as much.

No, wait, I take that back. I like caring about how others feel... it's a fuzzy feeling to tell you the truth. Some might think all this is trivial, easy to solve- but I've already scared off a few people; I don't have an iota of self-control when I'm surprised and quite honestly, I don't interact with enough people.

(Note to self: Meet more people and talk to them. Or something.)

Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's shift our focus to the good old place known as Newgrounds. Chaotic, kid-oriented and with more than it's fair share of random useless garbage- but it's fun. Sorta. Kinda.

Perhaps the appropriate words here are: not anymore.

There's a flash currently on the front page called 'blackman dead.' It's a tribute of sorts- one that I thought was damn good. So, me being all innocent and everything, I clicked on the reviews. By the gods I didn't know there were so many racists south of the border. I'm ashamed to be human. At least I know why Bush won the elections now. With that kind of mentality, I'd probably kill thousands of innocents too.

Jeez, goddamn arsewipes, get a LIFE- no get a friggin' SOUL!!

Another worthy discovery was something that I dare not mention. Save that it will take some pondering- you know the mysteries of life and so forth. Also discovered on Newgrounds. To give you a hint, you've probably already heard of it.

Hmpf. I wonder if I'm reading into all of this a bit too deeply. Oh well. MC wanted an update. Here's an update. Perhaps a bit too philisophical- but hey, I'm in the mood to write, so why not?

~Deathwyrm

(Oh, I highly recommend "There She Is!!! Step 2- cake dance" also found on NG. Cute and funny- also helps me forget the idiotic fleabag that humanity can sometime prove itself to be. And if someone argues with me over the Bush thing you're just proving my point.)

Fanfiction

So bleh. Some of you who are reading this might know that I'm a fanfiction writer. Not a particularly good one, but still, I'm trying. Now I've got two main problems: motivation and plot.

Let's focus on motivation for a second. Every once in a while, we, as human beings tend to fall apart, emotionally, physically whatever. Some of us cry, others shout and still others... meh, let's not get into that. Suffice to say, we all handle stress in our own particular ways.

Me? I obsess over something like there's no tomorrow, and, hey, tomorrow comes and I'm over it. If I had ever been into the pokemon phase (which, thankfully, I was not) I would have probably spent five hundred dollars worth of cash in a week and then dropped the entire thing. I'm weird like that. I'll start a story. Agonize over the prologue. Rewrite the first chapter multiple times, introducing new ideas and characters or even a whole different outlook and then... nothing. My ideas ebb and then I'm empty. I stop writing. Nada. Poof. It's over.

Ok. Now that motivation's out of the way, let's focus on plot. My stories don't have plot. Or they might seem to have a plot, but hell, I'm not the one thinking it up. I *never* have a pre-planned story. Which makes it very, very difficult because my ideas are scattered all over the place. My stories need to focus. This relates very well to my motivation factor, because sooner or later I simply decide it's *not worth it.*

Or of course, I go into that famed 'writer's block' mode which, at the moment I don't seem to be in.

Blah. That's all I have to say today. Ho-hum. This seems like stuff that belongs on a blog or something. Self-analyzation and all that.

Yipee, it's 2005!

...

Errr... Tell me, does that sound as stupid as I feel?

(I know, I know, haven't updated in a while, but I'm sure you can forgive me. If you can't, contact your local psychiatric ward or, if your name happens to start with MAR, stop harassing me over MSN. ^_^)

Not much to report 'cept that unusually bad weather when travelling back home from a three... no, two day vacation off into parts unknown.

Actually, make that, nerve-breaking, bad, bad, BAD weather.

Some clarification might be in order. I live in a place known as Canada. I'm pretty sure that I wrote that down in my profile, but if I didn't, well, then I was obviously lying. Canada is north of the United States. Look on a map. You know where the North Pole is? Go south a bit, you can't miss it. Even if you do the first time, you'll eventually find it. It's BIG after all.

It is also, very, friggin' COLD. >_<

Now, usually that's not *much* of a problem. Drink some hot chocolate, put the heater up to max and wrap something thick and preferably warm around your body and you should be fine. Granted of course, that you have a home, a heater and something thick to wear. Of course, if you are without a numero uno, you're dead. Simple as that.

Back to me and my travels.

As I said, me and my family were off travelling to parts unknown. The day we left was... o.k. It was raining, well, ice-raining. But it was ok. The streets were slippery and the other drivers unforgiving but we got along like we always did. Without a hitch. Only took five or six hours.

However, on the way back... let's just say we were on the road for nine hours. That's a loooong time. Oh, and some helpful minions of mother nature helped too. Let's see... there was rain, there was fog, there was ice, there were... a great many things. The scenery was interesting as well. Every five minutes you'd see a car in the ditch, granted of course, that traffic wasn't bad enough to send everyone and everything into stark raving madness.

But I really shouldn't be complaining. Especially after that tsunami...

(moment of silence anyone?)

(Oh, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, SHOOT YOURSELF! RIGHT NOW! EITHER YOU'RE AN ALIEN TRYING TO INVADE EARTH OR A HUMAN THAT'S BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK. IN WHICH CASE YOU ARE AMONG THE UNDEAD. DIE!!!)

*regains composure*

I suppose that's it for now. Didn't have anything else earth-shattering to say, just trying to appease a certain person before she chokes me to death or thinks about digging up her trusty arsenal of stunguns, daggers, longswords, bunny-rabbits and shotguns.

XP

Is it just me, or is September rife with birthdays?

Yesterday, it was my brother's as well as a classmate. (incidentally, that was the main reason my computer remained out of reach yesterday TT. Cake was good though. ^_^) If I'm not 100% mistaken it was also Google's yesterday. Tomorrow, a classmate of mine also has a b-day.

Meh- that was a pointless commentary, but I don't have much else to say. Homework's boring like usual. In Spanish we're stuffing everything we learned last year into two weeks.

One word. Unnn-fun.

Very.

Everything else, though, seems to be moving at a normal pace. Which is good. Very good actually. It gives me some free time. So I'm considering whether or not to shut down my fanfiction account or not. And it completely depends on my whims and the third chapter of the story I'm about to write.

Ah well, Fable's coming out soon, yadda yadda yadda, hope everything in your lives are going smooth. Canada's a good place to live in retrospect.

All this just because I need my daily dose of rambling or I pass out,

Deathwyrm

Geez, whenever I try to hide something it always becomes a big mess.

That orange I had in my knapsack since last summer and thought would go away if I ignored it? Bad results. Very bad. I didn't know that green and yellow came in so many different shades.

The milk I decided to dump into my garbage can and forget to empty for the past two months? Yup, I don't know how I missed the smell either.

Must be all the bacon I'm eating.

Ok, it's a jk. My secret's out. I suppose I like spicing up my life, with liberal doeses of overexagerration. In reality, I spent most of the morning brainstorming ideas for one of the most boring topics that I've ever had to write about:

"The study of history is..."

No offense to the teacher, I see where he's going with this, but Ewwwww. Couldn't we even be allowed to introduce the topic on our own?

Ewwww. Bad topic sentence. Hard to make it shine.

Here's my best attempt at it so far: (remember 300 word limit)

The study of history.

VVVVVVVVVVVV

By: Deathwyrm. Copyrighted to Deathwyrm. Anyone dare to steal it and they'll meet my wrath in the fiery pits of Hell. (it's not that great anyways. Find something better to copy if you're willing to do so)

VVVVVVVVVVVVV

The study of history is, and always will be, the study of people. Individuals make history… people make history. Events are shaped and defined by the will of those who want… no, need change. Wars, triumphs, defeats, contributions, achievements, mistakes, all this is the direct result of the actions of a few.

And by default, history is… complicated.

History is not a science that can be defined by a few simple words. It’s one of the few things that is impossible to summarize. Differing perspectives can attempt to broach the subject, but ultimately, history is too large of a subject for any adequate classification. Like art, like the tapestry the three fates of Greek myth allegedly wove, it is full of vibrant colour, tones and patterns that seem too intricate and too beautiful to unravel. And like any tapestry, it too ages, edges are frayed, pieces are lost… history is never complete. Whether it is due to subconscious mishandling of information or deliberate eradication of a certain subject, ashes to ashes and dust to dust, sooner or later it becomes irrelevant.

And, believe it or not, that is an essential component of human adaptation.

History, dull as it may seem, can be directly associated with memory. And like all memories, it holds grudges, phobias, stereotypes… and by default is the main perpetrator of the thing known as hate. “The devil can cite the bible for his own purpose,” is a common enough affirmation. History, just like the bible, is a tool, and can often be used to justify hate.

“So-and-so killed my family so I’m going to kill theirs!” Sounds like a corny line from a story about vengeance. Put that on a worldwide scale the result is war.

Sometimes it’s best to forgive and forget.

History is a dangerous thing.

…

The study of history is, and always will be, the study of people.

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Yes, I've more or less said nothing. ^_^. Evil is my middle name. Eviiiiil.

</lj-ct>

Nothing much to report (other than the insane desire to actually report something.

Ok, to those of you who are authors, (and it doesn't have to be a professional or anything, just a few stories or 'almost' stories under your belt) how do you write?

Hmmm, perhaps this needs clarification. What I mean by this is, how do you plan your stories? Do you make a gigantic plot, add little bits and pieces here and there and then just write it out knowing what's going to happen? Or do you use inspiration, find an idea, take it, mold it, and revolve everything around this idea?

For example, I'm the writer type that relies completely on inspiration. This results in some rather wacky and damn near unreadable stuff, thus resulting in me pushing the delete button more often than not but I digress. Back to the point, yesterday I had the rather wacky idea of mixing Fable (YAH!! Four years wait!! LOOKS GOOOD!!!! ^_^;;) with Halo. How does this work you ask? Well... have any of you read Eidolic Fringe? Yeah, the Master Chief just saved the world, got knocked into a coma and is currently daydreaming in Fable.

Corny, I know, but it sounded like a pretty cool concept. I could probably even squeeze in Cortana or some of the other Spartans. Of course none of them would have their armour, or even their super strength but anyways, lots of possibilities.

And since I am currently *attempting* (yes, only attempting, I won't actually say that I can actually *do* this chaotic subject) fluff I'd find a way for him to get into all sort of embarassing situations with either Linda or ... the other one. The one that starts with K.

...

God damn it, sometimes I even frighten myself. Somebody shoot me... how could I forget...!

Arrrg, anyways, I'll post the results of this mish-mash if it ever gets off the ground. (no stealing ideas you hear?)

Anyways, back to the main subject. How do you write your stories? What advantage do you see in writing your stories in a certain way? What disadvantages might there be?

I'm interested in seeing what you guys think. And yes, I know that this is probably a weird way to do a journal but since I talk to myself on a daily basis and am probably a certifiable loony this isn't too bad of a start.

Good luck ya all'

Deathwyrm

Hmmm, I suppose everyone who has a live journal must sooner or later take their first step...

(Or, if you're like me, take it, trip, fall down the flight of stairs you never noticed and bang your head on the pile of upright katanas that just *happen* to be there)

So, yes, this is my first, notoriously overrated post. What am I supposed to say? What am I supposed to do?

Why do crocodiles taste like chicken?

*sighs* So many unknowns. The world is a beautiful and wondrous place.

Hmmm? Oh yeah, that's right. Prime reason that convinced me to come here was that there was supposedly a gigantic fluff/romantic/fan something or another community here. (rough estimation puts it at around the size of Jupiter and expanding like a marshmallow put in the oven at four hundred degrees celsius)

Yup, from the post I don't *feel* like a writer of fluff. That's the problem, I've think I've lost my touch in this rather kooky area of writing and was wondering if anyone could help me. I'll keep you posted (expect random puns, ranging from very bad to subconsciously suggesting suicide sparsely placed in this livejournal... hope that doesn't scare away too many people ^_^) about my fanfics as they come along.

In other news... My family just went out to do school supply shopping (yup, first few days we get off scot-free with nearly anything ^_^) and my Dad just got enamoured with a 19.99$ calculator.

Yeah, I agree, he's weird.

Speaking of school, mine's big, costly and as far as I can tell, there's not really that much of a difference between it and other schools. I won't name it, so that in the unlikely event that a teacher somehow gets ahold of this they won't be able to identify me *that* easily. If they do I'm screwed. Up the ass. On the creek without a paddle as they say. Hmmm, speaking of anonymity I suppose I shouldn't have picked Deathwyrm since I used to use it alot and I suppose a bunch of people can identify me just by that. But meh, who cares? Adults expect us to be rebellious, have an overinflated ego and generally wreack mayhem and havoc wherever we go.

It's good to be a teen...

Ow! MC just told me to shut up and post the damn thing so that's what I'm doing.

(You're so mean MC ;_;... LOL)

Deathwyrm out.
